Ann has been painting since 1978 She studied at Prahran College of Advanced Education and was a founding member of Roar Studios in the late 1970 and1980s She has worked in community arts and youth projects and her latest project was at Kangan TAFE creating a a 60-metre fence for a new youth housing project. She facilitates drawing and pottery workshops and her studio space is in Flemington which she shares with her husband. In 2019 she was invited to a residency with seven Sydney and Melbourne women artists at Shark Island institute in Kangaroo Valley NSW and in 2022 A residency at Peter Lancaster Press Fiji
Her landscape painting is imagined from sites along the Great Ocean Road and in East Gippsland. She is interested in landscape as an emotive force, its wonder, as well as investigating the detailed and generalized to recall experiences and make new understandings, explored through repetition, heightened color and disruptions of perspective.
